Microsoft Entra ID Backup and Recovery
Eon now protects Microsoft Entra ID alongside the rest of your Microsoft 365 environment.
With Eon, teams can:
- Back up users, groups, devices, directory roles, licenses, app registrations, service principals, and administrative units.
- Recover deleted users and groups with memberships, ownership, licenses, and role assignments reattached.
- Browse the directory as it existed at an earlier point in time and selectively restore what’s needed.
- Protect identity and Microsoft 365 data from one console, with independent backup policies for each.

Microsoft Teams Data Protection
Eon now protects Microsoft Teams with automated, point-in-time backup and granular recovery across channels and conversations.
Protection covers standard, private, and shared channels, as well as 1:1 chats, group chats, and meeting chats. Recovered conversations retain their original authors and timestamps, preserving the original history instead of recreating messages as new posts.
Microsoft Teams protection builds on Eon’s existing support for Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Entra ID. Learn more.
Instant Restore for Google Cloud VMs
Instant Restore is now available for Google Cloud VMs, extending Eon’s rapid recovery capabilities beyond AWS EC2.
Google Compute Engine VMs can be brought back online within minutes of initiating a restore, regardless of disk size, while data continues hydrating in the background.
Once hydration is complete, the workload is promoted to a native GCE instance on its next reboot while retaining its name, internal IP, and instance ID.
Lower-Cost S3 Backup with Vault Cold Tier
S3 backups can now be stored in Eon’s Vault Cold Tier, giving customers a more cost-efficient option for data that requires durable protection but does not need frequent access.
This makes it easier to maintain an independent recovery copy of S3 data while keeping long-term storage costs down.
